Some may think science and magic have nothing to do with one another, but the Okanagan Science Centre in Vernon is here to prove those people wrong.
The Science of Illusion Fundraiser promises to not only enchant crowds but to also go towards funding the science center and its educational programs.
Magician, illusionist, and award-winning mentalist (mind reader) Ryan Michael will be performing at the Science Center on June 15 for one night only.
Tickets for the 19+ concert and silent auction include a light snack and amazing entertainment. There will be food stations available for attendees to enjoy.
There will also be a silent auction where attendees can bid on interesting objects and experiences, with the proceeds supporting the scientific center’s innovative programs and instructional initiatives.
It is suggested that attendees dress elegantly and sophisticatedly for an evening out in order to create a “magical atmosphere.”
The cocktail bar where “mixology meets molecular magic” will sell handcrafted drinks.
On Saturday, June 15, doors open at 7 p.m., and the event starts at 8 p.m. Bids for the silent auction can be placed until 9:30 p.m., and the bar will remain open until 10 p.m.
