- U.S. Today – The creator of the USDC stablecoin, Circle CEO Jeremy Allaire, has explained to his X followers why he is so optimistic about cryptocurrencies.
- He wrote a lengthy piece for X in which he outlined the main causes of his extreme optimism on the current state of the bitcoin market.
“I’m more bullish than I have ever been about crypto”
- The CEO of Circle said that, in almost 11 years of creating his business, he has never felt as optimistic about cryptocurrencies as he does right now. Among the many factors he cites for his “extreme bullishness” is the fact that most people “have an extremely narrow and limited understanding of what’s unfolding.”
- Cryptography, in the words of Jeremy Allaire, is “the next logical layer of infrastructure for the Internet.” Allaire has seen the internet grow from a fledgling phenomenon that few people used or felt was necessary at first to the world wide web that is now a part of almost everyone’s life and that most people can’t fathom living without.
- Many began to consider Bitcoin’s chances of growing “to provide a more generalized internet infrastructure that could be foundational to society and the economy” once it took the stage in 2009. Allaire pointed out that before to the introduction of Bitcoin, there was a lack of confidence on the internet when it came to large-scale information transfers. However, with the advent of cryptocurrencies and blockchain technology, smart contracts have the potential to establish the trust that consumers and developers have been missing on a worldwide basis.
Blockchain has a bright future, says Circle CEO
- According to the CEO, there are now enormous inventive communities of several blockchains that compete with one another as public blockchains have developed into their third generation. Their networks are continuously being enhanced and innovated, with additional security, privacy, and transaction throughput added.
- With the major Wall Street firms establishing exchange-traded funds (ETFs) based on BTC, Bitcoin has grown to become one of the most significant and potent alternative investing instruments available. As Allaire said, stablecoins are also growing in popularity.
