- The 340 homes, villas, or land parcels that makeup Discovery Dunes are the only way to gain entry to this elite enclave. Together, they comprise 600 acres (27 million square meters) in southern Dubai, and they start at $7.5 million.
- DLC members who want to become prospective buyers must go through a rigorous application procedure. According to the corporation, word-of-mouth sales have accounted for 60% of phase one purchases so far. Land plots will be delivered to clients beginning in late summer.
- Mountain biking, kite surfing, boarding, horseback riding, and racquet activities are available as amenities. The location will also have a private championship golf hideaway, the first 18-hole Tom Fazio-designed golf course in the area.
- Next year, the course—which is only available to members and their guests—will open. It has a view of the Dubai skyline and cutting-edge technology that will allow coaches and players to get real-time performance feedback.
- DLC’s first ultra-luxury residence in the Middle East will be called Discovery Dunes. There are now 35 upscale residential communities managed by the corporation worldwide.
- “We consider quality time with loved ones to be the ultimate luxury,” DLC chairman and founder Mike Meldman said. “Connecting the people who matter most with the things that matter most is possible with Discovery Dunes.”
Adaptable comfort
- The customizability of the restricted community is perhaps its most sought-after feature. Purchasers of bespoke plots have total autonomy over how they want to customize their villa, whether they choose to work directly with the developers or construct a custom house under the supervision of an architect managed by DLC.
- “In an interview with CNN, a representative of Discovery Land Company stated that the villas at Discovery Dunes are highly customized.” Every single room’s façade and finishes are customizable for the residents. Some customers request specific finishes from Argentina, Brazil, or Italy; we can accommodate all of them.
- The highly acclaimed San Diego-based designer Olson Kundig, who was recently included on the 2024 AD100 List of the most significant architecture and design companies, created the fully completed homes. Additionally, DLC is working on villa interiors with Champalimaud Design, located in New York, and Killa Design, based in the United Arab Emirates.
- To “respect our environment,” DLC went on, it is “implementing as many initiatives as possible,” such as having a farm on the property and utilizing gray water for the golf course.
Clubhouse to lakehouse
- Access to Discovery Downtown, a private members club situated in Dubai’s opulent Edition hotel next to the world’s tallest structure, the Burj Khalifa, is restricted to Discovery Dunes members only.
- The club has a modest conference area, bar, restaurant, and video room for kids’ amusement in addition to a series of well-stocked “comfort stations.”
- Additionally, the developer has finished construction of “The Lakehouse,” a farm-to-table restaurant and bar that provides a range of lake-related recreational opportunities, including swimming and paddle boarding. This is the developer’s first on-site experience center.
- The most recent of DLC’s planned developments in the area and worldwide, which also include additional locations in Europe, Portugal, and Central America, is Discovery Dunes.
