Following her victory, Boebert informed Westword that she was in conversation with Donald Trump and had given the former president’s 2024 election ring a proud kiss. She had been outdoors during her election watch party, answering a phone call.
“I remember saying a lot of great things,” she remarked. “I told him I’m looking forward to helping him in this fight and that I’m going to be there [for him] and I told him he needs to win his third election.”
Boebert told Westword, when asked what Trump said to her over the phone, “He congratulated me, he loves me and thanks me for a good win.”
The congressman had almost 43% of the vote overall as of 10 p.m. local time, a staggering 35,000 votes ahead of her GOP rivals. Her nearest competitor, state representative Richard Holtorf, received little less than 11% of the vote.
