These are a few of the major U.S. stock movements from today’s premarket:

- The news that billionaire Barry Diller is contemplating a takeover offer for Paramount Global (NASDAQ: PARA) after the studio he once oversaw pulled out of a merger with Skydance Media caused the stock to jump 3.1%.
- After the Associated Press revealed that the US Justice Department is awaiting the planemaker’s acceptance of a plea agreement to resolve felony fraud charges connected to two deadly accidents of its 737 Max aircraft, shares of Boeing (NYSE: BA) dropped 0.4%.
- Due to the possibility of Hurricane Beryl interfering with cruise operations as it moved across the Caribbean, the shares of Norwegian Cruise Line (NYSE: NCLH) and Carnival (NYSE: CCL) dipped 1.2% and 1.1% respectively.

- UBS downgraded Pure Storage (NYSE: PSTG), a business that creates all-flash data storage hardware and software, from “neutral” to “sell,” citing worries about the firm’s stalling growth, declining market share, and overpriced stock price. As a result, the shares of Pure Storage plummeted 5%.
- After Piper Sandler lowered its position on CrowdStrike (NASDAQ: CRWD) from “overweight” to “neutral” due to valuation concerns and the statement that risk/reward is less “favorable,” the cybersecurity company’s shares fell 2.5%.
- A downgrade from “market perform” to “underperform” by BMO Capital Markets, citing worries over the company’s core eczema medication Opzelura’s probable “challenged” sales, caused Incyte’s (NASDAQ: INCY) shares to drop 3.1%.
