- Those rivalries drive sports, increasing interest from devoted and casual viewers alike. Regardless of the stakes, we get emotionally involved in these games. The history and closeness of the Chicago Bears and Green Bay Packers make this game interesting to watch even if both teams are near the bottom of the NFC North. The Boston Red Sox and New York Yankees are similar.
- The rivalry between Magic and Bird, which started in college and continued throughout their professional careers, is largely responsible for the NBA’s current state.
