- At the opening, the Dow Jones Industrial Average (DJI) dropped 61.27 points, or 0.16%, to 39,108.25. At the opening bell, the Nasdaq Composite IXIC fell 71.26 points, or 0.40%, to 17,808.04, while the S&P 500 SPX began down by 13.25 points, or 0.24%, at 5,461.84.
