- June 12, 2018 (Reuters) – The Swedish Electricians’ Union said on Wednesday that allegations that American electric car maker Tesla (TSLA.O), opened a new tab, and performed electrical installation work without the required registration had been reported to Swedish authorities.
- When Reuters reached out to Tesla, the company did not immediately respond to messages.
- “At one of its charging stations, there is proof that Tesla is doing electrical installation work. This is the case even though Tesla is not listed as registered with the National Electrical Safety Board,” a press release from the union stated.
- According to the organization, this implied that Tesla was not authorized by Swedish legislation to perform electrical installations.
- “We must respond since Tesla violates Swedish law. In a statement, Mikael Pettersson, the union’s head of negotiating, said, “We can never accept illegal electrical installations.”
