Zhang emphasized the need to look for political synergies at a period when these differences might be a hindrance.
In response to a query from the audience on the European Union and China’s increasingly defensive high-tech ties, he was answering.
“It’s easy to get into the geopolitical aspects of the issues on the European side, but will your partners benefit from the product and the synergies you build?” he said.
Will that make the possible partnerships more valuable? If that’s possible, it’s a win-win scenario.
