NEW BEDFORD: With summer quickly approaching, New Bedford, a dynamic community, will host numerous thrilling festivals and big events. Everyone may enjoy anything, from delicious seafood to exciting cultural events.
The schedule of events includes the always entertaining Whaling City Festival from July 11–14, the 108th annual Celebration of the Feast of the Blessed Sacrament from August 1-4, and Oysterfest from June 15 to NB Roots & Branches on July 20.
There won’t be a shortage of fun and entertainment in New Bedford this summer with so many interesting festivals and events scheduled.

Date of RPRC Fest: June 15
Railroad Park Recording Co.’s RPRC Fest, which takes place at 50 Madeira Avenue, New Bedford on Saturday, June 15 at 10 a.m., promises a day full of music, food, and fun. Including more than 20 multi-genre performers, such as A Wilhelm Scream and Sage Francis, two local favorites.
Wander around the numerous vendors and interactive activities, or take in the acoustic performances and beer garden during a break from the main stage. Don’t pass up this chance to engage with the neighborhood and create lasting memories with loved ones.
Cisco Brewers’ Oysterfest

The first-ever New Bedford Oysterfest is coming up; get ready to luxuriate in fresh oysters and support the local aquaculture scene. This event, which is being hosted by Cisco Brewers and the New Bedford Fishing Heritage Center, promises a wide selection of oysters that have been hand-shucked from the best oyster producers in the area, in addition to craft beers and cocktails, live music, and breathtaking views directly on the waterfront.
A keepsake oyster shucking knife and support for the FHC are also included with every ticket. Rain or weather, join in on the excitement at Cisco Brewers New Bedford.
Dates of the Summer Solstice Music Festival: June 21–23
Join the Summer Solstice Music Festival at 179 Legacy Lane, Westport, which features live bands, open mic nights, drumming, art, cuisine, and sustainability resources. In addition to raising awareness, this event provides financial assistance for the Heron Center’s programs in wellness education, artist residencies, and environmental protection. Don’t pass up this special and profound opportunity.

Buzzards Bay Musicfest, a free concert series at the Fireman Performing Arts Center at Tabor Academy, featuring a range of musical genres at 232 Front St., Marion. According to the organizers, the performances will include renowned players and a dizzying assortment of sounds, including jazz, swing, piano duets, and harp in addition to major symphonic compositions. NB Branches & Roots

A memorable day of art, music, and community awaits you at the 2nd annual NB Roots & Branches Fest. The event this year promises to provide New Bedford a genuinely unique experience with an expanded roster and new locations. There is something for everyone at this festival, including folk, jazz, Cape Verdean dance music, and a performance by the string quartet of the New Bedford Symphony Orchestra.
Attendees should also make time for the closing performance, “Moving Canvas Moving Forward,” which features live musical accompaniment to the moving panoramas created by local visual artists. The best part is that community sponsors and public funding initiatives make the festival entirely free.
