According to reports, international music superstar Drake won more than Rs. 7 crores from a cricket wager on the recent India vs. Pakistan match. The wager was made on India winning, and on Sunday night, the country defeated Pakistan by six runs in their second T20 World Cup encounter.

Over the weekend, Drake shared on his Instagram Stories that he had bet Rs. 5.4 crores on India to win, as reported by News18. The UK tabloid Mirror stated that the wager was profitable, yielding a total prize of £715,000 (about Rs. 7.58 crores), of which £204,000 (roughly Rs. 2.16 crores) was profit.

Drake won a total of £715,000 in prizes, with £204,000 of that coming from pure profit. The rapper has placed numerous stakes down, this bet being only the most recent one, according to the source.

The game on Sunday had the spectators on the edge of their seats. India scored 119 runs in their opening innings before getting bowled out in 19 overs. Indian supporters expressed alarm as Pakistan got off to a strong start. But Jasprit Bumrah and Hardik Pandya’s performances changed the game. India’s triumph was assured by Bumrah’s three wickets for just 14 runs and Pandya’s two wickets for 24 runs.

Drake is no stranger to the world of cricket betting. He most recently earned Rs. 3.73 crores on a Kolkata Knight Riders wager (KKR). Mashable India claims that Drake wagered $250,000 on the team and won more than Rs. 1.7 crores as a result of his profitable wager.

Drake’s betting on cricket is still a topic of discussion. Fans and followers will keep an eye on the artist to see whether they place additional wagers on the upcoming matches as the T20 World Cup goes on.
