Developing-market currencies, equities, and bonds faced fresh selling as traders reacted to the prospect of prolonged tensions in the Middle East, raising concerns about inflation, energy costs, and slower economic growth.

The latest market moves come after hopes for a diplomatic breakthrough between the United States and Iran faded.
